Confirmation

Confirmation classes are the time when young people can grow in their faith and explore the greater spiritual questions. Everyone needs a workable spiritual plan of how the universe works. You need to know who you are and what your place is in the world. Without exploring these answers it is very difficult to flourish in life, find happiness, or even to cope at some points. 

My job as pastor is to help young people grow in their faith and so I partner with parents in this quest. 

You cannot become fluent in a language with one lesson a week, you need to be immersed into the language. Likewise, the only way a young person is going to grow in their faith is to be immersed in the talk, exploration and discovery of faith in the lessons, every day in the home, at church and maybe other times and places as well. –to be immersed in the faith. So we endevour to help parents to provide faith discussion oportunities in the home as well as the discussions we have during the week. 

The role of parents is vital in the faith development of their children so we provide oportunites for parents to take on the role of spiritual mentor. Confirmation is a growing time for us all.
